12/25/2023 0 Comments Small projector for cake decorating![]() ![]() You don’t have to do this calculation yourself. It’s just the same 25% service fee DIsney slaps on ALL food and beverage-cake is no different now, and it doesn’t have anything to do with whether the cake is actually cut or not. However, I recently discovered it’s still mentioned in one of the captions, so that is coming out in the next update (later this month). Hi! So Disney started applying what they call a “cake-cutting service charge” to *all* cakes a while ago, and I took the info about no service fee at the Grand Floridian out of the guide. I warned her I would knock her over the head with my spreadsheet if she asked me to calculate that … ) (She’s also warned me she may go with a smaller cake (2-tier), which, per your guide, would be made at another place (EPCOT, I think). Are these other fees that needs to be part of the calculations that have nothing to do with where cake is made? And if so, how does that fall into the existing equation? (ie cake ($702.50) + 6.5% sales tax of cake ($45.66) = $748.16, + 25% Cake-cutting service fee of 748.16 ($187.04) =$935.20, + 6.5% sales tax of 935.20 ($60.79) …… FINAL TOTAL OF $995.99 (for a cake that cost $450).Īnd how do handling fees and delivery fees come into this – how much and do they have service fees and/or taxes that need to apply? Then I noticed a “cake-cutting service fee” and it’s taxes. ![]() From looking at the guide, I’m interpreting the cake service fee is $0 since Whitehall is part of the GF and the cake is to be made at the GF bakery (Therefore $702.50 (cake) + 45.66 (6.5% sales tax) = $748.16). So far her plan is the reception site is Whitehall, and the cake is to be made at Grand Floridian (3-tier).
